The pop Century

On the top floor of an early 20th-century building in the San Martino district of Genoa, the Flip Blue apartment boldly overturns the building’s traditional aesthetic.

The architects at Studio Bump embraced contrast from the outset, playing with the intensity of resin finishes and the geometric clarity of forms to create a striking visual effect. At the heart of the living area, the kitchen stands out like an island of color. Wall-mounted units are mirrored by a floor “carpet” in the same deep blue Cementoresina, creating a chromatic echo that makes the crisp white central block pop with personality.
A custom white bookcase blends seamlessly into its backdrop—a pale gray wall clad in Absolute KK 64. The bedroom and leisure spaces continue the chromatic dialogue with a celebration of color: from KK 35 green in the Petrol Blue palette to soft pastel shades of blue and pink.
