The apartment of Domenico Calcagno and Julia Martins Miranda is conceived as an essential yet majestic interior, where silence still seems to be permeated by the memory of hours of prayer and meditation layered over time. Vaults, textured surfaces and traces of the past coexist with a restrained contemporary language. Natural light enhances the depth of the spaces, while a neutral, quiet palette highlights their authenticity.

Designed to support the building’s natural evolution without invasive alterations, the project uses compatible and breathable materials in dialogue with the historic structure. In this vision, Rasobuild Eco Consolidante and Biocalce Muratura help consolidate and preserve the material quality of the surfaces over time.
