To coincide with Milan Design Week 2024, Kerakoll presented Huetopia - Scenarios in color, an installation by Nichetto Studio representing an imaginary place inside and outside the brand’s Brera Studio through the medium of colors and surfaces.

Huetopia is literally a ‘utopia of hues’. The name evokes the idea of an imaginary place where different colors create enchanting landscapes. The panorama conceived by Nichetto consists of 14 distinct shapes, each a unique interpretation of essential architectural elements.

“In keeping with this year’s theme of Material Nature, along with Kerakoll we imagined a space in which architecture, art and materials converge (...). We drew inspiration from dynamic scenarios in which shapes and colors combine and created a series of charming, abstract scenarios. These are suggested by the showroom’s location – Milan – and by the style of its famous gates, which are still relevant today and certainly lend themselves to immortalisation", Luca Nichetto explains.

The windows of Kerakoll Brera Studio host four large sculptures, each a tonal composition, in hues of blue, red, yellow and green. These works are then broken down in the outdoor area in front of the studio, where they appear like heavenly bodies descended from above or shells left on the sand by the retreating tide.

Inside the showroom, scaled-down versions of the four window totems are arranged in different ways. Visitors are invited to interact with the installation and to create their own fusion of the work itself, its colors and Kerakoll surfaces.
