Collaboration

Kerakoll x Florim

Video background

Florim and Kerakoll have joined forces on an unprecedented project that brings together colour research and industrial expertise, with design providing the common ground between the two companies.

At the heart of the collaboration is SensiColore, the Florim collection designed by Matteo Thun & Partners: a palette of 15 shades inspired by the Italian landscape and conceived as an imaginary journey through colour, evoking the impressions captured in Goethe’s Italian Journey.

For each SensiColore shade, Kerakoll has developed a matching Fugabella Color grout, its decorative resin-cement product for ceramic surfaces. Created exclusively for Florim and marketed directly by the company, the shades range from neutrals and blues to greens, reds and greys, forming a colour system specifically designed to complement the collection through seamless tone-on-tone combinations.

Grout thus takes on a new role: no longer simply a functional joint between tiles, but an integral part of the surface itself. The coordinated colour combinations create visual continuity, expanding the collection’s expressive and design potential.

Kerakoll x Florim brings together two family-owned businesses whose entrepreneurial culture is deeply rooted in the Modena area. Both grew up at the heart of the Italian ceramic district and have spent decades interpreting its heritage of expertise, capacity for innovation and international outlook. Both companies are also B Corp certified and share a commitment to social and environmental initiatives and projects.

The collaboration marks the first time Kerakoll has developed a coordinated range specifically for a ceramic manufacturer. It creates a dialogue between colour culture and applied research, turning a design vision into a tangible solution. The project’s visual identity is further enhanced by packaging developed specifically for Florim.
