A playful lair for a collector and a connoisseur of life, this former factory converted into a home reflects the owner’s passion for colour, art objects and hosting good friends. Inside, an audacious red floor finished with the irregular texture of Legno+Color Small is cast in the warm light of the sun.
Two-story windows peer out over a seemingly endless expanse of rolling hills, while the double-height living room visually connects the upper and lower levels, highlighting a procession of colours that follow one another softly, giving an unusual sense of fluidity to the rigorous geometry of this old industrial space.
The conversion project retained a number of the original elements, such as plastic industrial handrails and geometric inlaid wood and tiles. The new, hand-decorated Legno Small floors were coloured magenta red with Microresina Parquet in KK 114. Inside, the neutral walls contrast with the cherry red accents on the doors, decorated to match the floor with Microresina KK 114.
The walls are both background and main event in a succession of tones ranging from soft blues and greens in Decor KK 25 and KK 46, to the bright aubergine of Wallcrete Living KK 148, to the mustard yellow of the staircase in Decor KK 101. Colours vibrate with changing natural light highlighting blown glass pieces, arranged so as to make the most of natural sunlight, create mesmerizing patterns that dance up the walls throughout the day.
